Valladolid is one of our favorite towns in Yucatán for its tranquility and authenticity. It is worth spending a few days here, where to sleep in Valladolid?
I have stayed in Valladolid on many occasions, it is a place we travel a lot and I like to try hotels. We love Valladolid, it's from the cities that are not a showcase for tourists, where to walk and live the Yucatecan rhythm.
As always I will recommend places that I have been, some that I do not know first hand but yes to the people who have done it, and we agree on similar criteria.

Our criteria to recommend accommodation
With a accommodation we seek a good value for money to be able to recommend them, this is our priority. Attentive staff, location and hotels with a special charm.
The accommodations are divided according to budget:
- Economic budget: from 100 to 600 Mexican pesos (mxn).
- Average budget: from 600 to 2,000 mxn.
- High budget: 2,000 mxn onwards.

Areas to sleep in Valladolid
It is an average city of 49.000 inhabitants, where the historical Center collects much of the tourist accommodation. From here you can walk the city without problem, if you travel by public transport is the best option to stay in the center for the convenience it entails.
We recommend some accommodation in the surroundings of Valladolid for its special charm. There are more and more people who dare to tour the Peninsula by rental car, and there are many Mexicans who travel by car. We also think of families, many of you travel with children or the elderly.

HOSTAL CANDELARIA: the hostel with the most demand among travelers, a classic in Valladolid. LOCATION: very central, in the beautiful park of the Candelaria, a very central and pleasant corner. HOSTAL DESCRIPTION: colorful and pleasant, with shared and private rooms. The bathrooms are shared. SERVICES: Breakfast included in the price, WIFI in common areas, parking, bike rental and two common kitchens. The best: Excellent value for money and how nice the place is. PERSONAL OPINION: if you are from hostels, it is the reference in Valladolid, with a very helpful staff and friendly atmosphere.
HOSTAL FRIDA: Relatively new hostel that is working well. LOCATION: to 10 minutes from downtown walking, well located. HOSTAL DESCRIPTION: austere house on the outside, with interior patio. Shared and private rooms with TV, the bathrooms are shared inside the room. SERVICES: WIFI, patio with pool and common kitchen. The best: Great value for the price. PERSONAL OPINION: good staff and good beds.
HOTEL CASA ROSARIO: I have not stayed at this hotel but they have given me good references LOCATION:: it is in the center, a couple of blocks from the main park. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: Rooms at this hotel have a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a private bathroom. SERVICES: WIFI, terrace and small pool outside. BEST: Great value for the price.
AVERAGE BUDGET:
HOTEL PALACIO CANTÓN: It meets the expectations of those who do not want to spend much and wants to be in a private room with a bathroom in a nice and pleasant place. LOCATION: It is in the center, a couple of blocks from the main park. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: private rooms with bathroom, with fan and air conditioning, and flat screen TV. SERVICES: breakfast included, WIFI, terrace and small pool outside. BEST: Great value for the price. PERSONAL OPINION: a somewhat outdated hotel in furniture, but with a lot of charm and economy.
CASA SAN ROQUE: this hotel practically opened in the year 2014 without knowing it. They have continued with the excellent personal treatment and quality, they notice the desire and involvement of the owners. LOCATION: It is in the center, in one of the streets that overlooks the main park. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: private rooms, with bathroom and flat screen TV. Very comfortable and clean rooms. SERVICES: WIFI, patio where breakfast and pool are served outside. BEST: Great value for the price. PERSONAL OPINION: ideal for the stay, comfortable beds and attentive staff. I have special affection for the place for the treatment received there, because I had an indisposition during my stay and behaved of 10 with me.
CASA MARGARITA: of the new ones in Valladolid, few rooms and well maintained. LOCATION: It is in the center, a couple of blocks from the main park. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: private rooms, with bathroom and flat screen TV. SERVICES: WIFI, patio where they serve breakfast and outdoor pool. BEST: Great value for the price. PERSONAL OPINION: comfortable rooms, central and quiet, good place to solve.
HOTEL ZACÍ: a more impersonal hotel. I write it down thinking about those who you travel with children, it's a good option for families LOCATION: It is in the center, a couple of blocks from the main park. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: private rooms, with bathroom and flat screen TV. SERVICES: WIFI, patio where breakfast is served and large outdoor pool. BEST: value for money. PERSONAL OPINION: comfortable rooms, central and large pool, it is quiet, many families go.
HIGH BUDGET:
HOTEL POSADA SAN JUAN: another hotel that I have not been to but yes friends that have recommended it to me. LOCATION: It is three blocks from the main park. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: private rooms, with bathroom and flat screen TV. Very comfortable and clean rooms, with those details that make the stay more pleasant. SERVICES: breakfast included, WIFI in all areas, patio where breakfast is served and large outdoor pool. BEST: value for money.
HOTEL ZENTIK PROJECT: it shows when behind there is a love and personal involvement. I had the opportunity to meet Alberto, the owner, who distills good work. LOCATION: It is somewhat removed from the center. HOTEL DESCRIPTION: private rooms, with bathroom and flat screen TV. Very comfortable and clean rooms, with those details that make the stay more pleasant. SERVICES: WIFI, patio where breakfast is served and two pools: one outside and the other inside a cave, in a cenote where you can take your massage to relax. BEST: It is a different place within the offer of Valladolid. PERSONAL OPINIONIf you are a traveler looking for charming hotels, you should take into account the Zentik. Good restaurant and breakfasts in a nice palapa.
