Playa del Carmen We have visited it on countless occasions. We lived 10 years in Cancun and Playa we used to go down to go out with friends and do some other weekend. Most of our friends work in the tourist sector of Riviera Maya, so there is always a good excuse to move around and get to know new hotels.
We have stayed in several hotels, we will recommend the ones we liked, those we have repeated and recommended to friends. We like to vary and we go to accommodations of different categories.
Our criteria to recommend accommodation
The accommodations are divided according to budget:
- Economic budget: from 100 to 500 Mexican pesos (mxn).
- Average budget: from 500 to 2,000 mxn.
- High budget: 2,000 mxn onwards.

SAMBALA ECO HOSTEL: one of the travelers and backpackers hostels. Good atmosphere, excursions in the area, all the services of a travelers hostel LOCATION: It is located at 2 kilometers from the ADO terminal. HOSTAL DESCRIPTION: shared mixed rooms SERVICES: WIFI and common kitchen for breakfast The best: the price PERSONAL OPINION: If you are from hostels, it is a reference in Playa. They recommended the new hostel, further away but much more comfortable. It is the Casa Shambala Hotel Boutique, at 40 with Avenida Norte.

M & I'S POPERTY: an ideal place for those who look for the good, beautiful and cheap. It does not have the hostel environment, it's rooms in a private property LOCATION: It is located at 2,7 kilometers from the ADO terminal. DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMMODATION: private rooms with bathroom and air conditioning SERVICES: WIFI and common kitchen for breakfast THE BEST: the price PERSONAL OPINION: They were friends for a week and they loved it, a good place in Playa.

MEDIUM BUDGET
PRIVATE ROOM IN GUEST HOUSE: Another place recommended by friends where they were great LOCATION: It is located at 900 meters from the ADO terminal and 5 minutes from the beach DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMMODATION: Rooms with private bathroom, TV and air conditioning SERVICES: Wifi, swimming pool, Garden, shared kitchen and 2 shared living areas THE BEST: Value for money and location. Great to go with children.

MOONLIGHT: Another highly recommended place that exceeds expectations LOCATION: It is located at 1,3 kilometers from the ADO terminal, on the other side of the federal highway. If you travel by car you have parking DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMMODATION: rooms with private bathroom, TV and air conditioning. The rooms are equipped with a kitchen with a microwave, a toaster, a refrigerator, a stove and a coffee machine. SERVICES: Wifi, swimming pool, garden The best: Great value for the price

HOTEL SELINA: central, great breakfast and good hostel atmosphere but with private rooms to choose from LOCATION: It is located at 100 meters from the ADO terminal, at the center DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMMODATION: rooms with private bathroom, TV and air conditioning. There are also dormitories on bunk beds with air conditioning. SERVICES: Wifi, swimming pool, garden The best: facilities and location PERSONAL OPINION: super comfortable and central. Great to go with children.

NEWPORT HOUSE PLAYA BOUTIQUE HOTEL: new apartments with common areas with roof and pool, a chulada place LOCATION: is located at 2 kilometers from the ADO terminal and 5 minutes from the beach DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMMODATION: luxury apartments with kitchen, private bathroom, TV and air conditioning SERVICES: Wifi, Rooftop pool, free bikes, and water sports equipment rental THE BEST: new and super finishes, you will be deluxe. PERSONAL OPINION: some excellent depas, in a more quiet beach area

HOTEL LA SEMILLA: excellent hotel in every way, only for adults LOCATION: is located at 1,7 kilometers from the ADO terminal and 200 meters from the beach DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMMODATION: rooms decorated in an excellent way, with private bathroom, TV and air conditioning SERVICES: Exceptional breakfast, Wifi, restaurant, terrace and free bicycles THE BEST: You will be in luxury, the hotel is great PERSONAL OPINION: in a somewhat quieter beach area near the fifth. It has no pool, but you will not miss it.
