KinichnaDespite being a minor remnant, its beautiful acropolis is a great excuse to go. Its beauty lies in its symmetry that makes it majestic, a building that makes you turn around. You can go up to the upper level, where the views lead you towards Dzibanché.

Funeral offerings from two burials have been found inside the Kinichná acropolis. There are many looting and losses that ancient civilizations have suffered, the Mesoamerican ones alike. A market that moves a lot of money fed by the unlimited greed of the human being.

The majority of Mayan art can be seen in private and foreign collections, something that should be by moral right available to all audiences. These are traces of the History of Humanity, that of everyone, not that of a few. Of shame so much looting.

Kinichna

Kinichna It is a Mayan name means House of the Sun. The extraordinary ability of the Maya in the development of a very precise astronomical and calendrical knowledge, one of the great achievements of this civilization, is well known.

The ancient Mayan cities are built recreating their cosmological vision and the arrangement of the stars in the celestial vault. The Sun is the fundamental axis of this knowledge that the Mayans represent on their buildings on dates such as solstices and equinoxes.

La archaeoastronomy es one of the spectacles that we can observe in the Mayan world where beauty and knowledge come together to form a whole. If one day you have the opportunity, go to cities such as Chichén Itzá, Mayapán, Dzibilchaltún or Edzná.
