We just made a route of 5 days through Chiapas and we had no problem. We have made the route leaving from Tuxtla airport to Chiapas de Corzo, San Cristóbal, blue water waterfalls and Misol Ha, Palenque, Yaxchilan, Bonampak, Las Nubes, Montebello lagoons, Chiflón waterfalls and return to Tuxtla airport.
The roads are bad and with many stops and the distances are long, but with patience it is done well.

Hi Javier, the road between the airport and Tapachula is a correct road, we had no incidents or anything to comment on it. Along that Pacific coast is El Castaño and Madresal, two places of nature that we loved. We also liked the area of the coffee plantations a lot, and Izapa too.
