Rancho Agua Dulce is located in an area of fantastic cenotes to enjoy. This ranch gives you the opportunity to meet different types of cenotes, Popcorn is the star of the place.

Rancho Agua Dulce is between the towns of Hunukú and Yalcobá, an area of beautiful cenotes close to Valladolid and Ek Balam. This ranch is still partially in use, and you offers the possibility of knowing two magnificent cenotes, Popcorn and Fresh Water, both closed and impressive. There is also the cenote Dzonot Ac, which is an aguada (last phase of the cenotes formation) and some dry caves that you can visit.

The services are very complete, with restaurant in case you want to eat. There are bikes to rent and move along the paths that lead you to the different entrances of the cenotes. Very well organized

That other Cenote Valladolid you can visit as nice as popcorn

Cenote Popcorn

The fantastic Palomitas cenote is undoubtedly the star of Rancho Agua Dulce. Popcorn has a very simple entrance for the visitor, Agua Dulce is something a cenote that gives more respect to enter. Cenote Palomitas is easily accessible, and although it is a closed cenote, it is bright and one feels in an open space. I would honestly visit both, they seemed both impressive.

Cenote Popcorn has a diameter of 50 meters and 45 meters deep, a colossal mouth of turquoise crystalline waters that get entangled in you. The cavern is a joy, the stalactite formations create a very captivating space. I love the feeling of arriving for the first time at a cenote, when you stick your head out to surprise yourself as a girl before the beauty that awaits you, and in the Palomitas cenote I was amazed, what a beautiful cenote 🙂

So far there is an organized tour, but it is not a crowded place, so if you go in safe weather you will find your lonely moments in Cenote Palomitas. It is a privilege for me to live these places in silence, a silence that magically breaks with some trill of birds, such as the splendid toh bird (momoto, watch bird) that so much likes to live near the cenotes.
