Bacalar is one of the traveler's favorite destinations in the Yucatan peninsula, the environment is wonderful. It is always important to choose the right accommodation, we will look at the Bacalar hotel options.

It is impressive how much the Magical Town of Bacalar has grown in services in the years we have lived in the Peninsula. Our first New Year's Eve was spent here, it was 2007. We stayed in a little house facing the Bacalar lagoon, where there was hardly any tourism. How much bacalar has changed, but continues to have an undeniable charm.

In Bacalar there is an ATM (ATM).

Our criteria to recommend accommodation

The accommodations are divided according to budget:

  • Preeconomic assumption: from 100 to 500 Mexican pesos (mxn).
  • Average budget: from 500 to 2,000 mxn.
  • High budget: 2,000 mxn onwards.

Si reservations through the blog it is not more expensive, you benefit equally from the offers, and it is a way of support my work when receiving a commission with your reservation. All accommodations have their direct booking link.

The hotels that I recommend neither invite me nor pay me to be on this list. I always choose my accommodations according to my criteria, I think it is the most correct way to be able to talk freely about the places and not to advertise for the fact that they pay you or invite you to sleep.

bacalar mexico hotels

The Bacalar Lagoon stretches along 42 kilometers. Along the lagoon there are different accommodations, most of them near the Magical Town of Bacalar, where you find all the services and accommodations for all tastes and budgets, from camping options, entire houses, hostels or luxury hotels.

My recommendation is to stay a couple of days minimum in the area, it is worthwhile to enjoy the charm of Bacalar and its surroundings

We divide the area by zones and I explain them to you, so it will be easier for you to choose what you want and what you want.

If you go as a family or in a group of friends, you may want to rent a villa like the CASA TARIMORO, with capacity for 8 people. More privacy and autonomy.
